belVita...yum!

soooo today is a new day. I start my new job for reals (i kinda started last week...just for training a couple of the days)....I am excited. My new set schedule will be 830-530 Monday through Friday. I am sooo glad that I have a SET SCHEDULE. it makes life easier for me. my body can get used to going to bed and waking up around the same times every day...I can start implementing gym time after work. all that fun stuff. :) I'm gonna be a much happier Beth.

Anyways, I made a discovery while in Utah with my sister. belVita breakfast cookies. holy cow!!! these things rock! 5 packs to a box, 4 cookies to a pack. They taste delicious, are made with whole grains and oats (i think), they only have 230 calories, B vitamins, protein, fiber, low in sodium, potassium...ect...they're kinda high in carbs...but what do you expect with a food like this? LOL. But I love them! and not only do they taste good, they KEEP ME SATISFIED. which is a hard feat....so i applaud them for that. I usually have them with a cup of coffee and a banana...and sometimes some yogurt.  it depends on my mood. but these keep me satisfied....and SlimFast doesn't. Thank you, Nabisco, for creating something that is a meal replacement and actually works! LOL

But i highly suggest these! They are fantastic! :) I weighed myself this morning so i can get an idea as to just how much i can loose in a week. i'll weigh in again on saturday. I'm plannin on watchin my portions, more water (i've gotten really lax on that as of late),  and just overall moving around more...which, with my new job, that will be easy peasey! I mean, my whole job is centered around 3 year olds...so naturally, that goes to give you an idea as to how active i'll be at work. lol. If you have a 3 year old, or know one--you understand that! haha.

but anyways. I gotta go finish getting ready. I just wanted to brag on my belVita....and thank my sis, Maegan, for introducing these to me! :)

Off the Path

Wow guys....sorry its taken me so long to post again. I've been incredibly busy and all over the place and I just haven't had time to think about it. My assessment went good....The guy told me he could tell that there was an "athletic" side to me, I just needed to lose weight. he said that my flexibility was really good for someone of my weight, which I've always prided myself on... I've always been pretty flexible. But anyways. Let me catch you up to date on everything that has been going on.

Where to begin? I turned in my 2-week notice the week before I left for Utah (so 2 weeks ago this past friday). Before then, my schedule was all over the place and eating healthy went out the window. I don't regret the way I've eaten over the past month (i'm not gonna waste time on the past); however, I know i should have at least tried to do better. I'm so ready to get my weight down.  I had a dream last night of a skinny version of me...and let me just tell you--that me was HOTT! LMAO. but seriously...it was weird... so yeah...it made me see what I can be and that really excited me. I woke up this morning all excited.

I am starting my new job (full time) tomorrow. I will be working at Trinity United Methodist's CDC and my hours will be 830-530 monday through friday. Let me just tell you--having a set schedule is going to be a lot better for me. Once I get used to the schedule, I can start implementing gym time and all that fun stuff. I'll be able to eat healthier because I'll be on a SET SCHEDULE every day. I'll always be able to eat dinner before 7p, I'll be eating breakfast at 7. instead of this eating breakfast at 5a (sometimes even 4) or having to eat dinner at like...9. Yeah. gonna be so much better. Also, I'm working in a class of 3 year olds....that right there should tell you how active I will be during the days! My arms and legs are so sore from the few days i worked last week from squatting, chasing, playing, lifting, ect ect. LOL.  I'll reach that hot bod in no time!

My current "goal" on Spark People is to loose 20lbs by June 1. Yeah I could probably reach that goal sooner, but I can adjust it if i loose that before then. :) I just want to take it 20lbs at a time. If I can focus on that, I can get there. I've been toying with the idea of starting the 11-day diet again. Just to help me get in the habit of eating well. its so hard for me to come off of eating anything I want to "dieting", but that one seems to work. I need to get disciplined before i try anything else....and at least I realize that.

I know i keep saying the same things over "i'm ready for a change" or "this week will be different"...but i've had a lot going on up until now....and now I'm home until daniel and I decide to take a trip...which likely will not be until a couple weeks before he ships off for basic...so we're talking late august-december (we don't know when he'll go yet)....soooo i'm here for the home stretch...and i plan on making every day count. even sundays. lol. which usually are my "lay at home lazy" days. i want to be active every day...may not mean going to the gym every day...but... doing SOMETHING. grocery shopping (yes you burn calories doing that), taking a walk with daniel, mowing the lawn even...cleaning... lol. just getting up and doing something other than laying around on the couch.

maybe i'll get better about posting too... :)

ohhh if you guys have any tips about when you think i should go to the gym during the week (since my schedule is M-F 830-530) let me know....been thinking about trying to go in the mornings...but i'm not really a morning person...and thought about going after work--but then i wouldn't be home til 7....and i really don't think you're supposed to eat after 7....lol

anyways...let me know!

adios
